I was Red 2 in a patrol to Venlo. Once over Venlo, we descended as there were several bogeys at low altitude. We identified them as US Bostons and Thunderbolts heading to east. As we continued with them to further to the east, but suddenly I felt several hits and saw tracers passing from behind. I had been bounced apparently and as my aeroplane was severely damaged I baled out. |
