Under callsign 'KUDOS' with F/Lt 'Riksen' Richards as flight lead and myself as his wingman - when we started engines our AF became under attack and we had to scramble. Once we got in the air the enemy egressed and so we gave chase. I was able to catch up to the hun and scored some hits and watched him fall to pieces on the ground below. Shortly after another Me 109 came in at us head-on and so we broke apart to engage it. The 109 followed me over and got some good bursts into my cockpit and fuselage. I wasn't sure how I survived as I got shot up pretty bad; but luckily F/Lt 'Riksen' Richards was able to get into position on him and took him down, saving my bacon once again! Riksen covered me on our way back to base so that I could get a fresh bird for the next mission and we did so successfully. | ||
