Took off from Le Culot as white one with P/O Lamothe as my No2 to cover a B-25 flight to Kelz airfield and Zulpich. No enemy planes where seen on or around the target. unfortunately Sqn Ldr Merfort (Yellow one) was shot down by flak en-route to target, didnt see him land or bail. Flt Lt Emblin (Red One, Mitor Leader) also took hits from flak so we had to abort, covered Red one to Liege where he landed. I then took white and yellow two back to Le Culot. where i saw them both down and land safely, as i did once they where down. | ||
