General Report

I was the leader of Red Section on a patrol along the bombline. Near Oss, I spotted a single Fw 190 ahead, so I gave chase. I fired a long burst and noticed some hits on the left wing before the hun dived away. I ordered to stay high and we continued our patrol. South of Utrecht, I spotted another bandit. During the head-on attack, I scored some hits on it, but also received heavy hits in the right wing. I ordered my section to fly south and return to base. On our way back I spotted a Bf 109 engaging my No.2. I warned him and in the defensive manoeuvres, we lost sight to each other. We managed to reform over the Meuse river and continued back to base. Just before we entered the circuit I spotted another Bf 109 at our six. I ordered to break and we chased it during the climb. After a few minutes, my engined suddenly stopped - possibly due to previous damage from the combat - and I tried to glide to the airfield. Unfortunately the Bf 109 returned and attacked me two times. In the last attack my plane started to burn and I crashed in the field.
