Flight B, led by me - 41Sqn_Riksen, was tasked with attacking the 21st SS Panzer Division that had been spotted approaching Eindhoven about an hour ago. Flight, codenamed BUMPER and composed of heylookabigmac and ZaxOnTheBeach as wingman, took off from B.70 without problems and within schedule. Target was easily located just to the south of the city about 20 min after approaching the front lines and no opposition was encountered. Unfortunately, the armored vehicles managed to quickly disperse under trees and hedgerows along side the road which made bombing accurately difficult. No significant damage was detected. All pilots RTBed safely. | ||
