I lead 'A' Flight on the high altitude patrol to Venlo. Over Asch we encountered at first 2 Bf 109 in the attempt to attach a formation of Mitchels, which were heading to the west. More huns entered the area. I flew several attacks on a Bf 109, but was unable to bring my guns to bear. After the dogfight, I reformed with Red 2 and White Section and we returned to the base. | ||
