Just back from rotation but I'm not sure I'm feeling as rested as I should ... Perhaps it is just this damn place, this war that keeps dragging along and never seen to end. Overall, however, the morale in the unit is good and many feel the end is near but for one who's just seen so much in this past couple of years, I cannot really be that confident. We shall see.

The last few days have been quite busy for the unit. After our redeployment back to the vicinity of Antwerp, we've seen to be receiving way more missions than ever before. I've been so busy that exhaustion is starting to settle in. So much to write but very little time to do so ... Despite the increase in activity of our unit, there is actually very little to celebrate ... Specially due to the sharp increase in casualties within our unit. We've been getting some new pilots coming in from the regular rotation but I'm afraid some of them are think it's already won ... The Germans are still putting some though resistance, specially in the air, and I'm convinced that this whole talk about making it back home for Christmas is not going to come to fruition ...
